Exhibition design and concept. In 2016, Rec Design was responsible for creating the visual identity of the 110 Years Rio Branco Exhibition, installed in the Iphan Institute (located in one of the historic buildings of the Avenue) and sponsored by the VLT Carioca consortium. The history of the Avenue is told in four moments: its planning, its inauguration (in the 20th century), the present and the future, proposing a reflection on the city and the people.
Through a huge collection of videos, sounds and images we told the story of the most emblematic avenue of the city using as support panels, installations and scenarios that drawn attention of the audience in an interactive way. We were inspired by the architecture of the IPHAN building and its transformation over time to produce the exhibition logo. Besides the exhibition we made promotional materials such as T-shirts, gifts and leaflets. The exhibition was open to the public for more than a year, between 2016 and 2017.
