Rec Design is a strategic design and communication agency with substantial project experience. For over 25 years, we have applied our expertise in design and creative communication to a range of projects for organizations who make a difference in the world.
Rec Design’s creative foundation is reinforced by a leadership team comprising three senior partners, each with over 25 years of experience in design. These partners bring vast expertise and knowledge to the studio, guiding and inspiring a dedicated team of eight additional designers with diverse skills. This group combines talents across areas like digital illustration, branding, editorial design, visual storytelling, and multimedia production, allowing Rec Design to tackle a broad spectrum of design challenges with precision and creativity. The team is fluent in English and Portuguese, with proficiency in French and Spanish, and can work in all six UN languages, including Arabic. Together, this multi-generational team merges strategic oversight with fresh, innovative perspectives, ensuring that all Rec Design’s solutions are impactful and finely tuned to each project’s unique needs.
At Rec Design, we believe that good communication design fosters a deeper understanding of the world and engages people to drive positive change globally. Our team has extensive creative management experience and collaborates with top experts in the field to achieve project goals. Rec Design’s workforce is composed mainly of women who adopt a proactive, flexible, and understanding approach, always seeking optimal design solutions and accustomed to handling tight deadlines. Our team is deeply committed to values of respect, equality, challenge, learning, justice, openness, quality, and creativity. Rec Design has been active since 1999, successfully delivering design projects for leading organizations worldwide, including UN Women, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNDP, UNITAR, WHO, International Amnesty, Promundo, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among others.
