For UNFPA Brazil’s Poderosas da Amazônia project, supported by the Embassy of France in Brazil, Rec Design developed an integrated communication approach to give visibility to the project’s work strengthening sexual and reproductive health and rights and addressing gender-based violence in the Amazon region.
Our work brought together audiovisual storytelling, editorial and graphic design, and event communication. We produced a series of videos and impact stories centred on the voices and experiences of women connected to the project, combining personal narratives with evidence to communicate its impact in a sensitive and engaging way.
Rec Design also developed the visual and communication materials for the project’s closing seminar, supporting the event from its communication and graphic pieces to the presentation of stories and initiatives. A range of digital and printed materials extended the project’s presence beyond the event and helped communicate its key messages across UNFPA’s online channels.
Across all deliverables, our approach was to create a coherent visual and narrative language capable of addressing complex and sensitive issues while keeping the women and their stories at the centre of the communication.
