Rec Design developed the animated explainer two video series for UNDP Brazil as part of the Floresta+ Amazônia programme, focusing on the project’s Grievance Redress and Complaints Mechanism and Environmental Safeguards. Both videos translates procedural and rights-based information into a clear, accessible narrative, explaining how communities can submit complaints, suggestions, or feedback through official channels. Using structured storytelling and approachable illustration, the piece guides viewers through the full process, from submission to response and resolution, reinforcing key principles such as transparency, data protection, and community participation.
As shown in the videos, the narrative combines step-by-step explanations with a practical user scenario, illustrating how the mechanism functions in real-life contexts using very detailed scenes and characters. Designed for broad dissemination across digital platforms, the video balances institutional clarity with human-centered storytelling, supporting awareness, trust, and engagement with the programme’s accountability mechanisms.
