For the Fundação Roberto Marinho’s Florestabilidade programme, Rec Design developed the editorial and graphic design of a comprehensive set of educational materials focused on sustainable forest management in the Amazon. Created to engage young people with careers and entrepreneurship connected to the forest, the programme combines scientific and traditional knowledge while promoting the sustainable use and conservation of natural resources.
Rec Design translated this rich educational content into an accessible and engaging visual system across learning materials for students, teachers and facilitators. The publications integrate editorial design, illustration, infographics, diagrams and visual learning resources to communicate complex environmental concepts clearly and create a coherent experience across the programme’s different educational components.
Florestabilidade has been implemented across several Amazonian states and its educational ecosystem includes books, video lessons, radio programmes and a game, bringing together the knowledge and experiences of researchers, technical experts, extractive communities, Indigenous peoples and others who live and work in the Amazon.
