For ILO, Rec Design developed the editorial design and visual language for a series of practical guides supporting the strengthening of Panama’s national system for vocational training, skills assessment and certification.
The publications translate highly technical methodological content into clear, accessible and engaging learning materials for trainers, evaluators and technical teams. For the Practical Guide for the Development of Assessment Instruments for Certification, the design organizes a comprehensive 72-page resource covering competency standards, evidence-based assessment, evaluation techniques and instruments, and the development and validation of assessment tools.
Our approach combines a strong editorial hierarchy with photography, diagrams, infographics, tables, step-by-step processes and a flexible system of graphic elements. A distinctive geometric visual language runs throughout the publications, helping readers navigate complex information while creating consistency across the series.
The result is a family of practical, user-oriented publications that makes specialized technical knowledge easier to understand and apply, while giving the materials a coherent and recognizable identity across the broader INADEH transformation programme.
